Underlying sound impacts everything…he is saying.
Good points. Just nice to have an idea on the whe where and when…thx 4 the response
I could try and add such information someplace in the body content for historical purposes as i ever so slowly continue to create new titles and add tags, it would be nice, but man, it is gonna take a loooong time (I still have so much work to do on this thing).
The title of this doesnt tell me who the speaker is. Who, what, where, when are really important. I love this site and am EXTEREMLY thankfull. Please consider keeping the speaker name , when they spoke. Seems like the titles are becoming little more than catchphrases . No one will be able to find anything and be total chaos..
Hi Mark. The “New Pair of Glasses” series I decided to make as it’s own “Speaker” with it’s “child” tapes, so it’s a bit odd in that respect as it has no proper name.
What you consider catchphrases I consider Titles. It gives the listener a theme or phrase they can expect within the tapes, sets a topic – to the best of my ability. The tapes with descriptive titles get rated and listened to more than the many with random impertinent titles, which is why i’ve asked the community for help with commenting tapes as I will never be able to write decent titles for 6000+ tapes. Creating titles with all the info you want would be onerous for me – plus they would be very long titles and wouldn’t fit well on mobile devices (82% of traffic).
As far as people not being able to find anything and the site falling into total chaos, site analytics are not reflecting that. Today alone people perused 800+ pages of the site, with 85% of site visitors settling on a tape within 3 clicks. And there’s also 2 search fields on every page in case they are not finding what they want in the menu navigation or home page. Only 8-11% of site visitors use search, and very few people leave the site from the search results page, indicating they are finding something of interest. If 35% of site visitors were using search, that would indicate there’s a problem with people not finding something they want.
And trust me, if this site was chaotic and not somewhat decently organized, google wouldn’t rank it for 2000+ keywords and send it traffic 🙂
