Hmm, andy . RIP has been a man of god, passing on the message that was freely given to him. With all due respect, some of us have been around long enough to know Sandy ets to speak in the light, this man has no ego, that’s (edging god out) for the newcomer. he is talking about subtraction in life. This opens us up to spiritual growth. This is not some guy taking the podium hostage!!!!!!! He is invited to spread the word of “god” as you may understand him. We all get to a poit whefre, ” he is all, or nothing. You will get there my friend. And when you Drop The ROCK as he so eloquently says, live in the maintenance steps 10 11 n12, be honest, ther is a thing about beingh rocketed into the 5th dimension!!! may you find this.. peace n an open heart be with you

“Ego’s are amazing. They can find more ways of screwing up our day.” Isn’t this the truth. Sandy clearly explains the spiritual malady in terms of ego. EGO=Edging God Out.
I have to grin at the newcomer who doesn’t get Sandy. I can relate because that attitude demos that he’s one of is.
All newcomers are befuddled for a while, defense and rigid, all of us.
We keep coming back because we want some peace and maturity.
Additionally, the Internet has broadened our world and can enhance our program, big time.
Keep coming back, in person and online.

It may be a bit to deep for the fresh newcomer possibly. The implication of “like the sound of his own voice” seems like an unproductive and unnecessary judgment to me – Sandy was a very, very deep spiritualist that did a lot of work to break free of the illusion of self created by ego and had direct experience with the 4th Dimension.
He inspired a lot of folks to continue their unique process of seeking connection with their Higher Power and experience that sense of freedom. He gave a tremendous amount to the program – he died while sharing with others in an AA meeting.
“Real AA is one on one”?. I suppose that’s true in the larger respect of the need of being of service to others, but it’s not the only aspect of “Real AA”. I’d say “Real AA” is the entirety of living all the steps and principles in our daily lives – a daily and moment-to-moment commitment to that life-long practice.

Call it ” half measuring”, or being a little to compulsive, not proof reading my work before hitting send LOL. I am grateful I have read these comments. Its obvious we have done the work. The beautiful thing here is, we cannot hide what we do not have. Its just as clear online , as in a meeting. I agree, this is just another tool in the box.

I think you underestimate the new comer.Sandy always kept it new because he continued to evolve and made you use the mind that hadn’t been used in many years.He was one of the few men who truly lived this Program.
excellent reminder of importance of God’s help to overcome spiritual malady. AA needs to heed this warning and not dilute the original message of reliance on Higher Power.
