Why are you so angry
Probably due to the fact that people are dying of alcoholism because they are not getting the message as the rooms are overflowing with “problem drinkers” who are able to stay sober without a spiritual awakening and become offended when the Big Book or God is mentioned! that’s my guess anyway
I tapped out after a few minutes. Chris’s badge of being a “real alcoholic” is at best egotistical and at worst dangerous to others, who he claims can be helped by “candles and bubble baths”. I do not recommend this talk for a newcomer.
Chris makes the distinction between the real alcoholic who will only benefit from a spiritual experience and the problem drinker. The problem drinker who populates many AA meetings is able to stop or moderate given sufficient reason: such as the nudge from the judge or frothy emotional appeal from a loved one. His distinction is entirely consistent with our basic text Alcoholic Anonymous.
I found so much truth in what you said, Chris. We can’t blame our life experiences for our addiction.

No doubt, it is God who keeps me sober!
The best. Chris had let me know it’s ok to be serious about this disease!!!!
Brilliant!!
Stop crying Chris. So many good young AA’s doing it just as good or better than you, who have recovered and know the book and the principles and are of service
