Great speaker, gets right to the point
Chris shares his experience strength and hope ,each person in AA has there own opinion about recovery and what it means to them.
Listen for the similarity ‘s not the differences having been sober for over thirty years my self ,i have come to understand that fact .
I still work with the guy walking in the door ,he is my hope for the future !
And my primary purpose in AA today is to help the new comer find a power greater than him self.
He is a well polished speaker, get right to the point
Message of hope! Listening to this Big Book Thumper makes me want to get into the book more!!
Thank you to that 19 year old who said sit down! Alcoholics Anonymous saved Chris’s life. Keep spreading the message Chris. Keep grabbing the new guy!! HOPE!
He restored my faith
In Early AA-Newcomers were given a Sponsor -did the Steps 1-8 BEFORE being Allowed to go to an AA meeting…..AND ……The Success Rate was 50-75%-Hmmmmmm
Hmmmm? I heard a big book thumper mention in a meeting that “sponsor” isn’t mentioned in the first 164 pages. Of course, he had to mention 164 and the fact he was “recovered.” How the heck does anyone know the success rate of an anonymous program? I love that 75% figure thrown around. If AA isn’t the same, it’s the fault of those old timers who didn’t properly carry the message. Guess they weren’t so sober after all.
Thank God for the Oldtimers like Chris Raymer when I got Sober in 1985 in Reno NV -They told me the Truth -Get a Sponsor -Do the 12 Steps ASAP AND Work with others …..OR Relapse and Die from Alcoholism …..
may be for the first time he shut up and listened to what was said
He scares me. I hear ego, not love and tolerance. So sad for the beautiful fellowship that saved my life 35 years ago.
Love and Tolerance doesn’t mean allowing Newcomers to Babble for Eternity …..who have No intention of Getting a Sponsor-Doing the Steps and Working with others
If you don’t like Chris R. You need to take a look at yourself why does he offend you?!
Take a look at some other comments. He’s not as important as he thinks, so no offense is taken personally. It’s the newcomer in the room who hears a guy like Chris and realizes he wants nothing he has, that’s who I worry about. Maybe Chris needs to take a look at himself. He can stop by hiding behind chicken shit one liners in the big book. Just glad these guys introduce themselves as recovered alcoholics, you know what to expect. When you start our trying to make yourself unique, you’re leading with the ego. If they are disturbed by others in the program, there’s something wrong with them, isn’t that how it goes?
Chris is awesome about time someone spoke the truth and called those in the program out on these things. I agree 💯
