Very organic, insightful message!
This story just proves to me yet again, that alcohol can take any if us down, no matter the religion, class, culture or age. Thank you for the honesty, humor, and vulnerability you displayed. You gave me hope, that I too, just might be able to stay sober long term.
It would be great to get more of these local meeting speakers. Don’t get me wrong, the circuit speakers have honed their practices and carry the message great, but its refreshing to hear a local speaker as, well, I can relate to them a bit better.

I was at this meeting when she spoke and it was powerful and charming and raw. She has 10 years of recovery and a lot of compassion and her story, growing up as a lesbian in a Mormon family in Ireland was equally horrible and hilarious.
