Appreciate these wonderful voices teaching me as I fall asleep some nights.
Really good talk. This is CD number 2, of Clarence’s talk, and it is a fascinating look at the early days of AA told not by a historian, but as a participant. I love this website, and as a bedtime ritual I put in an earphone and listen to a tape. I fall asleep wrapped in the peace and comfort these tapes give me. An important part of my program, I donate every couple of months what I would have put into a collection plate. This is a cherished resource when I am far away from a meeting.
Thanks so much for expressing your appreciation of the site Lisa, makes me feel better this morning 🙂
I do not have a comment, however I do have a request. I am one of Al Badger’s granddaughters. Al H. Badger, Sr. was one of the cofounders of AA in the state of Texas. Somehow last night, I was testing the Internet to see if I could pull up some information about my special grandpa in regard to his work in AA. Somehow I managed to come into contact with a speech he gave in 1951 in Denver, Colorado. It was fabulous and we as his family would like to here more. Is there anywhere we can go to obtain more of his speeches? At prisons or anywhere??
Clarence gives great talks that go on and on. Classic alcoholic, doesn’t know when to quit. This is only half the talk, and lasts almost an hour. It’s worth a listen, if you have enough time. I gave it a 3 because it starts half way through the talk.
