International Convention – Courage to Change Theme. 1st speaker: Kim from Regina Canada, came into AA at 21 mentions conceding to innermost self acceptance of alcoholism, become willing to believe, changing attitude. Points are – the longer sober the more we need AA. What shape is your triangle? Recovery-unity-service. Getting Grace. Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway. Speaker 2 is John from New Jersey, also came into AA early in life and has over 20 yrs sobriety. Mentions spirituality, faith needed, and if we’re not changing we’re still living in fear and just seperated from alcohol. Also mentions grace, prayer and meditation and that HP can help us change where we can’t. Speaker 3 is Amy M from Conneticutt also mentions being bold enough to ask HP for guidance and to be willing to grow and the endless possiblilities for growth within this program and by working the steps.
