Wonderful storyteller! Well worth your listening time.
Scott sneaks it all in. You think it’s all humor but he covers resentments, making impossible amends, marriage, damaged children, sponsorship, al-anon, becoming an alcoholic after joining AA for addiction, the horror of the first meeting, being honest, asking for help.

Hi Sober One,
Yeah this is some cult eh? Over 4 million people in 230 countries and still counting. If you got sober by yourself, congratulations!!!
All I know is that after 7 years on a bender on cheap wine, and finishing up ready to die while sleeping on the beaches in Queensland, Australia, I just wanted to die a lonely horrible death!!!!! The Salavation Army on The Gold Coast, and a rehab with a 12 step program saved my life. I have now been sober in Taiwan near China for 15 years, and am teaching business English, married to a beautiful local lady, and am surrounded by a great fellowship of people from about 8 different countries !!!! You work it out mate!!!!!! What or who saved me???? Certainly not BY MYSELF!!!!!!!!!
GOD is Good Orderly Direction or Group Of Drunks………..you decide brothers and sisters…….Earl H. just bought a tear to my eye………..!!
Hang in there brother it’s going to be all right. I lost my wife, my kids, my house, and a lot more from this disease. Today I am back with my family, a successful small business owner, and have the coolest life imaginable. If that makes me weak, then I love being week. AA saved my life. If it’s a cult then who really cares? I’d rather be a part of a cult full of happy joyous and free people that never ask me for anything and I get to help other people who suffer from this disease. Coolest cult around if that’s the case. Thoughts and prayers with you
Humorous is a massive understatement!! Must listen to Scott R. It will make your day, guaranteed. A.A. at its best.
Ahhh…..bless you ‘Sober One’
