The names Joe and Charlie parley a team of two men known as “Joe and Charlie” who met in 1973 and spent the next three decades spreading their interpretation of the big book. These two men are credited with making the book of AA more accessible to many who otherwise found the language archaic or just downright confusing.

When Joe and Charlie began teaching the book it started getting people back into the heart of Alcoholics. The true heritage of Joe and Charlie’s conversation was the actual understanding of the basic steps. Another alcoholic anonymous was saying about Joe and Charlie AA tapes “they have this folksy charm that helps the medicine go down “which has always been what I love about Alcoholics anonymous. Actually their study and way of explaining is so fine and pure that they will present the 12 steps in a very beautiful and decent manner.

Although Joe and Charlie are no longer with us but their talks continue to inform and inspire AA members and all individual who wants to return and remain in sobriety. We are thankful for what these man have done for us personally and for what they have done for the program of Alcoholics anonymous.
